About Jake Dennett

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I integrate Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and tools from other modalities to help individuals understand what is going on inside of them, and move towards healing and thriving. This includes mindfulness, effective communication, problem solving, and developing resiliency to navigate situations that seem impossible. I probably don't need to tell you this, but the last few years have been hard for everyone, and that doesn't begin to cover the unique struggles that each one of us faces. When we're faced with overwhelming problems like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and difficulty finding direction and meaning, it can feel like there's no way to manage these. Fortunately, there are many evidence based practices that can help us navigate external problems, understand our internal lives, and find direction by getting in touch with our values. When these practices work together, real healing and real change is possible.
