About Jake Fahey
I am an interfaith chaplain and organizer living in Portland, ME (Abenaki/Wabanaki territory). I am a member of an organizing team affiliated with the Racial Equity Institute to bring anti-racism workshops to communities across Maine. He also provides his services to the majority-white communities associated with the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine and the Abbey of Hope to intersect interfaith spirituality with racial justice. Although it has taken him a quarter of a century to get there, he dedicates his life to the movement for collective liberation, and to the seeking of Truth inside and outside himself. He continues to stumble along this path of awakening as a white cis-gendered middle class man, and works faithfully to heed his call from Spirit. Jake also devotes time to one-on-one chaplain support to those in need; dancing, singing, and playing ukulele in community; and spending solitude with the Earth Mother.
