Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, Jake Fowler remembers going by the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) on the way to the neighboring Nelson Atkins Museum of Art on class field trips and thinking what a cool place it must be. After working in a variety of technology-related jobs and running his own Apple-focused technology service company, an opportunity at KCAI presented itself. He has worked in IT at KCAI for seventeen years in various capacities, and is currently the Director of Campus Technology. His role at KCAI is a combination of two of the things he loves most: technology and art. He feels lucky to be able to help the creative community with their technology needs. When he’s not at KCAI, he might be spending time with his wife, reading, doting on his dogs, or building a new Lego set.
