About Jake Grover

My name is Jake Grover. I am a Colorado Native and reside in the Greater Denver Area with my two dogs. I have a passion for cars, motorcycles, and anything with a motor. With over ten years of automotive experience in varying areas of the industy, I have built a strong foundation of knowledge, skill, and experience. I worked my way up from an entry level position at a young age enabling me to grow into management and operations roles in multiple areas of the industry. I have a strong background in sales throughout the industry. My desire to leave the repair side of the industry brought me to Copart as an Operations Manager. There, I was able to build on my ability to efficiently manage large scale operations with many moving parts. My current position with McDonald Automotive Group utilizes everything I have learned prior, while giving me new opportunities to grow my skill set. I work in a unique 5 man department responsible for all Used Car operations for 9 franchise dealerships. We manage 900 vehicles worth over 20 million dollars. We are responsible for all trade appraisals, sourcing, and purchasing, wholesale, transportation, reconditioning, repair, marketing and much more. I assist with the sales process through many avenues including direct face to face negotiations and sales, Managing a pipeline of customers interested in selling their vehicles, as we as training sales staff. I have a more direct role for our two Mazda locations with over 250vehicles between them. Our department and processes are unique and on the cutting edge of the business.
