I'm Jake Kealy, a third-year law student (3L) at the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a proud MBA graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. My deep-rooted passion for economic development, public service, and entrepreneurship has shaped my journey. My professional toolkit includes a keen eye for detail, a logical approach to problem-solving, and effective communication skills. I am from the blue-collar community of Janesville, a former GM town, so I understand the value of a strong work ethic. I've experienced both sides of the spectrum, having been a member of the Teamster's Union and later transitioning to management roles. These early leadership experiences at a young age have ignited my fascination with operations, which I now combine with my legal studies. I hold an undergraduate degree in Public Policy and Administration and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. My senior thesis,"Bridging the Divide: Exploring the Employment Gap in Wisconsin's Public Sector," delved into the shortage of qualified talent in local government positions. This multidisciplinary background equips me with research prowess, analytical thinking, strong oral and written communication, and a fundamental understanding of our legal system. As a first-generation college graduate, I understand the value of hard work and perseverance. I've held diverse roles, from tending bar at a local gastropub to interning for a congressman, all while putting myself through school. Today, I'm proud to be pursuing my legal education at the University of Wisconsin Law School, driven by my unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the intersection of law, business, and government.
