About Jake Lawson

I grew up in Stoke-on-Trent. I went to sixth form and studied economics, product design and English literature. I was never the person to naturally thrive in school, but I understood the importance of education, not only in school but throughout life too. Once I left college I ached to throw myself into the business world as money was my true drive and I was making none of it. I’ve always dreamt of working for myself and creating my own opportunities.I dedicated my teenage years to rowing where I spent 6 days a week, driving myself physically and mentally to the limit. This allowed me to see what it takes to be successful, and I truly was. National champion for three years running. When COVID hit, and I had nothing to dedicate every thing to I became stagnant and it took a negative toll both mentally and physically.Being stagnant in any aspect of life is dangerous. Think about being planted in the middle of the ocean. Just simply treading water and “keeping your head above the line” is not good enough. Success comes from resilience and constant progress. Everyday, we take one step; one stroke, closer to our goals.Creating a dedicated, resilient team within direct marketing; pushing standards and breaking expectations consistently. Developing not only myself but my team’s mindset and skills, constantly reminding myself of the importance of working from the ground up, to truly understand the key points and qualities of being able to run a successful business with a strong client base.My passion comes from seeing people progress from nothing to something; Creating stories that them and their families can honour. Life isn’t just a straight easy road, and we capitalise on that.
