Hello! I'm Jake Martin, a Computer Engineering graduate from Iowa State University, currently dedicated to strengthening digital landscapes as a full-time IT and Cybersecurity Examiner with the Iowa Division of Banking. My professional journey revolves around enhancing cybersecurity resilience and ensuring information security. This includes conducting the appraisal of IT and cybersecurity management and operations functions, audit quality, and an evaluation of management and the soundness of policies, procedures, and practices of entities regulated by the IDOB, including entities with complex IT environments. Outside of regular work hours, I actively invest in advancing my cybersecurity expertise. I find value in hands-on experiences, frequently participating in TryHackMe labs and pursuing IT/cyber-related certifications to refine my IT and cybersecurity skills. Additionally, my pursuit extends to staying informed through seminars, presentations, and podcasts, ensuring I'm at the forefront of the latest cybersecurity trends, news, and threats.
