About Jake McNally

I currently work full time as a Support Coordinator in Ruah’s Intensive Housing Team, delivering outreach support to people experiencing homelessness and complex mental health challenges. This role, and my earlier work at the Ruah Engagement Hub, has grounded me in person centred, trauma informed practice and confirmed that I’ve found the right path. Alongside my work, I’m studying a Bachelor of Psychology part time at ECU. I believe that understanding human behaviour and mental health is essential to making a long term impact in this field. Before moving into community services, I spent nearly a decade in business and marketing. I was the Co Founder of McNally Group and played a key hands on role in building the business from the ground up. I led the development of the sales and marketing pipeline, creating systems that allowed the company to grow, scale and operate independently. After seeing the business reach a stable and successful point, with the foundations I’d built firmly in place, I chose to step away and pursue a path that aligned more closely with my values. After selling my share in the business, I worked in digital marketing for several years across the east coast and Perth. Eventually, I realised I needed something more meaningful, something where I could use my skills to directly support people and communities. That turning point led me to community services. It’s where I’ve found purpose, and it’s where I’m committed to building a future.
