Background
About Jake Mileham
Hi, at this stage if you are reading this, I trust you would like to get to know me. Firstly, I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Jake Mileham and Im currently a student at the University of Pretoria. My main residence is in Durban but Im flexible on work location/style. Im fun and enthusiastic. I wont be the guy in the corner saying nothing but Ill be the guy cracking jokes in between voicing my ideas. Im persistent and stubborn. I don't like missing deadlines or putting myself in situations where I must now work under pressure but when needed I can embrace working with the pressure on my shoulders. The early bird gets the worm so starting early is always the goal. I enjoy working in a team where you can learn and grow around other members. Im also a fan of the outdoors being driving through it, hiking through it or watching an interesting documentary. Ive had a passion for coding since I started in High School. Its almost as if in this world we are in the infinite hotel where each room is just another language or way of thinking. There is just so much out there to explore. Im highly interested in computational Intelligence when it comes to hive/swarm intelligence. How do ants just know where to go when moving their nest? and how can we use this in our modern world. That scope of work is what I am going to be working towards for my postgraduate degree. For my current state in academics, Im currently in my final year studying to achieve a BsC Information and Knowledge Systems from the University of Pretoria. The name might deceive the degree but in simple terms it is an Undergraduate Computer Science Degree with a 2nd Major.More can be found here: predict, I will follow my degree to complete a BScHons Computer Science at the University of Pretoria in 2024. More can be found here: you got this far, then thanks for reading and I hope you know a bit more about me.
