About Jake Osmond

I have devoted the last 6 years to secondary education, initially working with harder-to-reach students in a front facing pastoral role. I have since moved into a role that consists of maintaining the daily operations within management information and the school's safeguarding systems, the overseeing of all internal and external examinations within the centre, the production and quality assuring of curriculum based resources as well as analysing pastoral and academic data, which is presented to Senior Leaders and the Governing Body. Prior to working in secondary education, I was an Operations Director for a start-up enterprise company which oversaw phases within multi-million pound projects within further & higher education establishments, namely the £20 million refurbishment of MidKent College Maidstone, the £12 million refurbishment of University Centre Maidstone, the £9 million new build at East Kent College Broadstairs, as well as other projects at LeSoCo, Camberwell and Waterloo. It was during this time that my passion for creating equal opportunities for young people, truly flourished. The company’s team was primarily made up of FE students who were gaining hands-on experience alongside their studies. I recognised early on that many of the student workforce had low engagement and aspirations, and knew that the task to inspire a generation needed to start with a younger demographic. Since then, I have focused all of my efforts into secondary education, in the hopes of doing my part to encourage, support and motivate our children for a better future. My expertise predominately lie in pastoral care and safeguarding, logistical planning, management information systems, data analysis, marketing and project development. I have a keen eye for detail and I'm passionate about finding solutions in problematic fields.
