Key Achievements: Olympic Games: Bronze - 4x100m Medley Relay - 2016 Rio World Championships: Silver - 4x100m Medley relay - 2015 Kazan Pan Pacific Championships: Bronze - 4x100 Medley Relay - 2014 Gold Coast Jake Packard, an Australian Breastroke Competitor, was born in a Penrith In New South Wales. Being a child of youngest of 2 then moved up to Noosa at very young age for a fresh start at a new life in paradise. Jake joined Noosa swimming club at the age of 11 where he swam out his years under his coach Brian Sterh at 18. It was here that he made a bold decision to move out of home and further his swimming career and education down in Brisbane where he met Chris Mooney who has shaped Jake into a better swimmer and a connection with the sport he loved. Since struggling to qualify for any teams through his teenage years, once moving to Chris mooney he dropped 4 seconds within a 8 months of under his new coach and was selected on his first senior meet in Los Angeles. Despite missing out on the Commonwealth Games team in 2014 he then was selected to replace an injured teammate to make his debut on his his Australian senior team. He then finished of the year of making the World short course team in Doha, Qatar. Jake returned the following year qualifying for his first World Championships in Kazan and performing an outstanding career swim breaking the minute barrier. 2016 was the year to excel and Jake granted him position on the 2016 Rio Olympic team where he performed another great yer of peak performance and now has set his sights on World Championships in 2017 Hungry.
