About Jake Poor

I started in Residential Construction framing single-family, and multi-family homes in Bloomington, Ill Over the years I have worked on framing crews, large-scale custom builds and remodels, Historic Home remodels/updates, commercial remodels and commercial build outs. I have over 20 years of building experience with the last 10 years performing Project Management duties to include contract negotiations, estimating, Contractor Insurance adjusting and negotiating, change orders, financial records, scheduling, reading/creating blueprints, helping clients with design aspects, working with local AHJ to ensure Building Code Compliance, working with owner's, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success. I have successfully completed hundreds of projects to include, all aspects from conception to close-outs. I am very passionate about what I do. I love developing the idea's into reality. I believe continued education helps build a stronger foundation to achieve my goals. I am currently finishing my Construction Project Management Degree at Joliet Junior College and enjoy learning from this program regarding large scale commercial projects including submittals, RFI's, scheduling, Pre-Construction through Close-out documentation and more, as I continue to pursue my passion being involved in the Construction Industry. I hope to secure a postion as a Project Engineer or Assitant Superintendent eventually setting myself up as a great Project Manager.
