SKILLS SUMMARY: Clinical skills utilized to assess patients and offer expert advice to health insurance providers on the reasonableness of further treatment for musculoskeletal injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. Health Policy and Research skills engaged to lead evidence based policy and program analysis and provide focused advice to senior decision makers at Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC). Leadership skills employed as the project lead for the Value Demonstrating Initiative (VDI) on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and recognized with an Achievement Commitment and Excellence (ACE) Award in the Partner Relations Category from the MOHLTC. Administrative skills utilized as the past Program Manager for the School of Health Services Management at Ryerson University and as the Project Coordinator for both Academic Senate Program Reviews. Communication, Interpersonal and Consultation skills employed for policy issues management, relationship management and partnership building, teaching and the facilitation of multiple stakeholder meetings and events. CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS: My research interest is both broad and collaborative and grounded in exploring the impact and influence of private sector forces on public sector spaces (i.e. universities/hospitals) and how these forces are mediated by organizational dynamics and internal culture.
