Curiosity motivates me to inquire about our biochemical world. As a trainee in the Tomat group lab, my research centers on the role of intracellular iron in cancer. I am exploring prodrug mechanisms for metal ion coordination in cancer therapeutics, photophysical properties of biopyrrin pigments, and in silico modeling of covalent protein-drug interactions. I employ bioinorganic chemistry and chemical biology techniques and principles alongside computational approaches. Outside of work, I enjoy tending to my desert garden, trying out new restaurants, and photographing extraordinary views.
