About Jake Spivack

I am a social worker and interdisciplinary artist, currently undertaking postgraduate research in mental health social work at University College Dublin. My practice sits at the intersection of clinical work, mental health policy, and creative storytelling, exploring how social systems shape identity, well-being, and community resilience. With more than a decade’s experience in filmmaking and performance, I produce work that challenges perceptions of mental health, neurodivergence, and marginalisation. Alongside my creative practice, I draw on practical experience from clinical social work placements, teaching, and community programme development, with a focus on inclusive and accessible care. Based in Berlin and holding dual Polish and U.S. citizenship, I am committed to blending artistic and clinical approaches to support individuals and communities often overlooked by traditional systems.
