About Jake Summers

To whom it may concern - My name is Jake Summers. I’ve been an audio engineer for the past fifteen years. Along the way I have learned a great deal about the value of professionalism in a stressful work environment, the psychology of how sound effects the brain, and the pride of a job well done. My background is almost entirely based around recording hip hop artist in the Philadelphia underground scene. Lots of fun there, I can assure you. However, this doesn’t always mean music. I’ve been asked to record realistic sounding skits, audio effects that dazzle the ears, and I’m often times improvising the methods behind the madness of a last minute change. On the music side, I’ve been involved in several live venues as a freelancer. Working shows and getting to know everyone has been one of the many privileges I’ve enjoyed over the years. Having been twice honored for my production at radio shows such as Sway in the Morning, The Red Room Podcast and countless live venue appearances, my impact on Philadelphia has been felt. However, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t always up for a challenge.
