About Jake Troyer

I received my B.S in Political Science from the University of Montana. After college, I moved to Oregon working in customer service and sales for Communications Northwest, a small business focused on implementing wireless communication systems for local companies and government entities. The pull to move back to Montana was too strong, however. After seven years in Oregon, I returned to Montana in 2006 and began working to get Senator Jon Tester elected to his first term in the United States Senate. I have also worked on a variety of campaigns since then including Denise Juneau for State Superintendent of Public Instruction and as Field Director for John Parker in his bid for Attorney General. I have experience working on campaigns nationwide at the local, state, and federal levels.After launching Sleeping Giant Communications in 2012, I also worked for the Montana Department of Labor & Industry as the agency Communications Director. Here I honed my messaging and leadership skills serving Montana with Commissioners Bucy and Hollenbaugh. Overall, I have consistently demonstrated leadership, management, and communication abilities as the owner of Sleeping Giant Communications, LLC, the State of Montana, and the Montana Wilderness Association. My free time is spent outside with my family and dogs (Ceder and Hairy Pawter) enjoying Montana.
