About Jake Woods

I am a 2023 Cum Laude graduate from The University of Tennessee with a BS in Recreation and Sport Management. I am pursuing a Master's degree in Sport and Leisure Management from East Tennessee State University while overseeing athletics communications at Pellissippi State Community College. I aim to learn as much as possible to develop the skills necessary to become an Athletics Director or other high-level leader at an organization. I have experience working in three collegiate athletic departments (Georgia State University, The University of Tennessee, and Pellissippi State Community College). My roles at these universities were in communications and media relations, as well as event management and athletics operations. I have worked with many different sports, including Football, men's and women's Basketball, Track and Field, Cross Country, women's Tennis, men's golf, women's volleyball, and men's and women's soccer. I am a high-level communicator and get jobs done efficiently. I am able to form strong relationships with those I work for and those I work with.
