My career path began in the food preservative industry as a Plant Chemist. This experience sparked my interest in quality control, leading me to transition to a Quality Control role within the biscuit manufacturing industry. There, I actively pursued knowledge, gaining expertise in raw material, packaging material, and water analysis. Additionally, I mastered HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), and pest control procedures. My dedication was recognized with a promotion to Quality Manager within just one year. Over the next two years, I held the Quality Manager position, exceeding expectations in my new role as QA Manager. Notably, I spearheaded the successful implementation of FSSC v 3.2 across all three manufacturing plants. During this time, I honed my soft skills through training delivery, presentations, and effective communication, both written and verbal. An exciting opportunity arose to join a multi-food manufacturing company. This new role broadened my knowledge base, encompassing a diverse range of products including pickles, condiments, chutneys, sauces, ready-to-eat meals, and concentrated syrups. I played a key role in implementing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), HACCP/Food Safety Plans, quality policies, and laboratory analysis processes. A significant achievement was leading the transition from FSSC v 5.0 to BRC certification. Furthermore, I gained valuable experience working with an ERP system for managing the release of quality-approved materials and finished product stock.
