About Jalen Spriggins

I am an agile, ambitious graduate student at The University of Texas at San Antonio, pursuing an accelerated Master's degree in Business. I am currently in a transitioning period from pursuing a career in medicine, to seeking full time employment in the realm of business management and administration. I have over eight years of experience in customer service, sales and patient care: ranging from real estate, restaurants, hospitality, and healthcare. The past four years, I have specialized in planning, coordination and administration work. I am extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and word in addition to data entry programs. I grew up in a small town between Houston and Galveston by the name of Dickinson, Texas. I moved to San Antonio upon graduating high school in 2017 to pursue a profession in Healthcare. In 2022 I completed my Bachelor's of Arts, in Medical Humanities with a minor in African-American Studies. My undergraduate degree specialized in biological sciences, and I graduated Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.83. Over the course of my six years at UTSA I have been heavily involved as a campus leader. I've served in various leadership positions, such as President of two student organizations, public relations and social media-marketing. The organizations I have been involved in are at the forefront of Diversity and Inclusion for student engagement and advancement. I received a healthy scholarship from UTSA's President for Diversity & Inclusive efforts on campus to highlight these efforts.
