Physician Assistant (PA-C), Educator, Certified Personal Trainer, and Health Coach. I have over 7 years of experience practicing medicine. As a PA-C, I have worked in internal medicine, infectious disease, and psychiatry. I enjoy working with patients that genuinely need and want help to improve their health. I also enjoy the challenge of working with patients that are considered "difficult cases"(multiple co-morbidities, complex psychiatry, communicable illness/infections, etc.) I have 10+ years of experience in training, educating, and advising clients as a personal trainer and health educator. Areas of interest and expertise include preventative medicine, weight management, fitness/wellness, nutrition, diabetes management and health education. My purpose in life is to help patients/clients become healthier physically, emotionally, and mentally, and I am at a place in my career where I want to walk in my purpose. I believe my frontline medical experience, formal training in health education/community health, and practical experience in the fitness/wellness realm has prepared me for my next career opportunity. I am open to opportunities in medicine (clinical or research), education (professor/instructor or direct), pharmaceuticals, fitness/wellness, organizational/corporate (supervisory, managerial, or director), and diversity/inclusion.
