About Jamal Burns
With passions at the intersection of education and racial justice, I am currently working as the Equitable Justice Legal Fellow and Weil Legal Innovator for the National Urban League. In this role, I tackle some of the biggest barriers to racial equity by conducting legal research and policy analysis for the organization’s newest division: Equitable Justice and Strategic Initiatives. Next fall, I will attend Yale Law School to begin my legal education. Ultimately, my career goals are to translate my skills and experiences in research into a lifetime of social advocacy.
