About Jamaluddin Hindi

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology. I began my journey at MIT as an Assistant Professor in August 2013. I hold a Ph.D. from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, an M. Tech. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from R.V. College of Engineering, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. With over 11 years of teaching experience, I specialize in composite materials, materials synthesis and processing, precipitation hardening, and material characterization. My research has primarily focused on the hardness-related characteristics of precipitation-hardened Al 7075-Cast iron powder reinforced metal matrix composites. I am proficient in the characterization of materials using SEM, XRD, and TEM, structural finite element analysis using ANSYS, 3D modeling of mechanical components using CATIA, and the simulation of CNC programming using SEENC turn/SEENC mill. Additionally, I have experience in the simulation of pneumatic and hydraulic systems using FLUIDSIM and engineering drawing using AUTO CAD. I am dedicated to advancing the field of mechanical and materials engineering through both my teaching and research, continuously seeking to contribute to the academic community and industry innovations.
