About Jamel Presley

In my role as an educational aide my daily responsibilities revolve around ensuring the smooth running of the classroom. This includes distributing and collecting testing materials monitoring students during the school day preparing instructional materials for lessons and providing tutoring across all subjects. I take great joy in assisting students in their learning journey and witnessing their academic growth and success. Although the job can be demanding the sense of fulfillment that comes from seeing students make progress makes it all worthwhile. I take pride in being a reliable support system for both teachers and students within the classroom striving to create a positive and conducive learning environment for all. Being able to contribute to the academic development of students is not only gratifying but also reaffirms my passion for education and helping others achieve their full potential. As a Loss Prevention Investigator at NEXCOM, I am responsible for monitoring and preventing theft, fraud, and vandalism at the Navy Exchange Service Command. I have over three years of experience in this role, where I have learned to operate and maintain surveillance cameras, conduct investigations, and apprehend suspects. I have also received training in safety procedures, emergency response, and customer service. Prior to joining NEXCOM, I worked as a Childcare Worker and a Recreation Assistant at MWR, where I gained valuable skills in working with children, communication, and mobile technology. I enjoyed providing care, supervision, and entertainment for the children of military families, as well as supporting the daily operations of the bowling center. I am a military spouse and a computer science student at Saint Peter's University, and I am passionate about learning new things and helping others.
