Digital Imaging Professional: Assist printing equipment manufacturers, libraries, museums, or research facilities with capturing, archiving, displaying, and printing images with the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency. The photography, scanning, and design process can be the most critical, as it is necessary to capture and render images with fidelity to the original document, scene or concept. The display systems and printing process also need to be controlled to communicate interpretation of images, conveying image quality to customers reducing the cost of selling products. Teaching customers and field support staff on safe productive use of Hewlett-Packard Indigo digital printing presses and the digital front end. The training could be at our campus, customer location or web-based. The DFE training focused on using the Adobe Creative Suite and Quark XPress plug-ins / extensions to transform static information into dynamic variable data documents and maintaining the SmartStream Production Pro Print Server. Press training focused on safe and efficient use of the equipment and consumables helping reduce the overall cost of getting quality jobs printed. At Eastman Kodak, I worked with developing, supporting and selling imaging systems for end-users and engineers. The systems reproduced accurate consistent color from capture through display to printing systems. The work included rendering positive and negative photography or digital capture for output to display, dye sublimation, inkjet, electrostatic, and silver halide laser printing systems. Being able to communicate between customers and engineers has helped me understand that the need to focus on the real issues and get to the bottom line quickly.
