About James Ahn

After many years working in the service industry, I made a major endeavor to return to school and study Computer Science. Coming from a very non-technical background, it was a very challenging program to get through. However, as someone who finishes what I commit to, I stayed focused, seeked additional resources, and completed the Degree. However, one area I fell short was a portfolio of solid projects and a presentable GitHub profile. This is why I enrolled in BrainStation's Software Engineering program - to stay engaged, stay coding, and build a portfolio of impressive projects, all while learning from industry professionals. Currently, this is exactly what I am doing and committing code nearly every day. I am confident that the combination of the soft skills developed from my past professional experiences (e.g, work ethic, communication skills, owning tasks), and the technical training I have received in recent years, will help me make a strong impact in the tech industry.
