About James Aichinger

From creating, running ad supporting integration using a new type of development environment for MBDA, to being a trusted integration expert for Airbus I have built my career around becoming a leader and professional engineer. Where many people list their academic knowledge as proof of their competency in a subject, my understanding of and ability to utilise previously earned skills in different ways is what sets me apart. I always look to see the possibilities in what I have and what it can become, especially when things look difficult. Areas of special interest - Spacecraft Electric Propulsion - Satellite Launch Systems - Aircraft Avionics and Control Systems For many years my greatest area of interest has been the development of Europe's space launch capabilities and the development of high efficiency/high thrust in-space propulsion. I believe that these technologies will enable a more realistic capability to explore space by allowing easier development of heritage and deeper payload injection into deep space. Future Aims - Apply for a position within the Astronaut Training Scheme within ESA - Contribute to the continuing success of space technology and exploration within the UK and Europe
