I’m working in two ventures, Around-Corners (AC) and Access Check Health (ACH). The first venture is targeted to the gamification of destinations such as a theme park, museum, cruise ship, resort area, etc. As of the fall of 2022, AC has received 12 U.S. patents, with 12 more currently pending. In general, all ideas are centered around the physical/virtual (what we call "PV") experience that is spatially overlapped with the destination, as opposed to a more traditional AR or VR approach (where in both cases of AR and VR the "gamification light" is being mixed in a device and is not emitting or reflecting off a destination surface, thus opening up registration and occlusion problems, let alone the high expense of the necessary devices). PV is a new category of the Metaverse that is best considered to be the opposite of VR, thus we stay immersed in the real-world and have the virtual world "privately encoded"(not visible without active, very low cost glasses) and mixed "on top." We have created a working "public-private" display that allows the public to view a normal emitted image, while an individual wearing very low cost glasses (not AR) can controllably see an entirely different image (thus for gamification, a "secret message"). The same technique will work with projected light. ACH was an outgrowth of one of the AC patents and provides a new approach for authenticating privately collected health metrics, where the authentication provides for "public trust" and thus allows for new forms of "verified healthy" premises access. ACH's core patent is pending internationally with 1 additional US provisional filed. If these spaces interest you, please reach out.
