About James Anderton

I started my career with U.S. Bank in reconciling for the Controllers Group. Utilizing the accounting skills I aquired, I moved to Corporate Treasury where I had hands on experiance researching, settling, and collateralizing securities for customers. I then moved into a tax accounting role as the lead tax advisor for my department, and now compile all federal tax information for our securities and the customers who invest in them. I am an expert in federal tax law regarding FATCA withholding for IRS reporting and review all customer onboarding documents such as contracts, agreements, and all tax documentation for opening new investment accounts. Highlights of my career revolve around working with external departments and awnsering key questions regarding tax and account maintenence, so customers can have the best experiance with our group. Project management is a strong point as I always look to improve processes, or optimize our department with better technology. My overall goal is, to use my skills to manage and optimize performance, not only in the tax world, but from an operation and accounting perspective as well.
