James' leadership skills, enthusiasm, and creativity have helped him lead teams to create unique places that can test conventions and look to the future. He works with multiple stakeholders to cast a vision and build consensus. He is typically responsible for leading the design vision for complex building types, urban design, and master plans, including:*"Thinking Outside the Box". What are the opportunities to look at every aspect of the environment to maximize return.* Ensuring the economic value of the tangible and intangible assets are transformed into a coherent Design Concept.* Reviewing sustainable strategies to optimize operational costs and celebrate best building practices. James leads the Social Impact studio which is centered on personal, human impact and a new type of Civic Architecture. It is a research driven studio focused on tackling challenging issues through the lens of measurable community impact; operating as a strategic partner providing the nexus to deliver thought leadership and research, connecting stakeholders with community partners.
