About James Angus

PDM professional with over 4 years of experience across academia and industry, specifically in delivering product data management support and solutions for the automotive sector. I have recently completed my Master of Research degree at the University of Bath, as part of the Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems Centre of Doctoral Training (AAPS CDT), sponsored by my former employer, Quick Release. The aim of my PhD research in this program was to understand how AI could automate and improve the validation of Bill of Materials (BoM), a vital database for product design and manufacture. In my previous role as a Project Analyst at Quick Release, I supported and improved various product data management activities within the automotive industry, working with clients such as McLaren Automotive and two of its sister divisions. I was involved in BoM management, structuring and validation, change management coordination, inventory management, issue root cause analysis, and quality issue reporting. I utilized my problem-solving, presentation, and project coordination skills to deliver solutions to complex challenges.
