About James Arnold

I am a community member from Neqotkuk in Wolastoqey territory in New Brunswick and have 20 years' of Indigenous economic development and workforce development experience. In that time, I have developed collaborative working relationships with all levels of government, community colleges; the private sector and with our Wolastoqey and Mi'kmaq Nations in the province of New Brunswick. Having established an extensive network through close working relationships with all 15 Indigenous communities and the Indigenous population living outside of a Indigenous community, I accepted a secondment to work as the Proponent Liaison under the Engagement Division for the Department of Energy and Resource Development in 2016.Leveraging partnerships, I work with the Indigenous population and Industry employers to enhance economic development and employment opportunities in the resource sector for both new and current sector proponents. I am very proud of my Indigenous background and posses a keen social conscience. I strive to help others reach their full potential, while continuing my own professional learning and development.
