Acts as lead by providing technical support, guidance, and training to less experienced Business Support Associates which may include directing work flow of department or group as well as assisting manager mentoring, coaching, counseling and performance management. Provides leadership & oversight on problem resolution by others and may respond to escalated issues that are highly complex and severe in nature that pertain to supported applications and hardware and software products. Provides technical guidance and consults with vendors and other systems support units to identify and resolve complex client problems. Alerts clients and team members when a major problem is suspected and provides recommendations, alternatives, estimated resolution times, etc. Participates in the analysis of trends and client-identified issues or problems that may require development of new department procedures, standards, or systems. May evaluate effectiveness of new utilities and tools. Typically involved in project work either in a lead capacity at the department level or in collaboration at the enterprise level.
