Theodore Geisel was an idol of mine when I was a little boy. It has been said that beyond his seemingly natural ability to stretch the limits of the imagination, he was also a perfectionist and frequently discarded a great deal of his work until he was satisfied with an overall concept. I spent a good portion of my childhood tracing his imaginative characters and illustrations trying to figure out the method to his delightful madness. Today, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist as well. Designing in the corporate world definitely requires a great deal of patience and diligence, and I tend to sweat the details. Discovering innovative ways to inject creativity into business solutions can be challenging, but I love it, even when I have to stretch the limits of my abilities to figure it out.
