Research Officer on the Climate Change Mitigation Research Project with Inland Fisheries Ireland which aims to assess the impacts of climate change on stream habitats and fish communities. This role uses a suite of remote sensing techniques to assess the impacts of climate change on stream habitats and fish communities with a particular focus on cold water salmonids. This position requires a broad and detailed knowledge of the current research being undertaken on Irish fish species so that a novel research strategy can be identified and proposed in order to undertake applied studies designed to answer important conservation and management questions. My main research interests are in fish behaviour/migration, riverine connectivity projects and fish telemetry projects studying diadromous fish migration in lakes, rivers, and marine ecosystems.
