About James Bartholomew
Currently, I am a 2nd-year Cell and Molecular Biology student at Northeastern University. I am interested in getting into Research and Development in the field of genomics or genome editing. In my first semester at Northeastern, I took Genome Editing a course that introduced different mechanisms for editing genes. Instantly I was immersed and interested in these concepts, I found it so amazing that as humans we have the ability to alter our genetic information to help combat diseases such as Muscular Dystrophy, and even HIV. In addition to my interest in this field, I am also excited to meet and expand my network beyond my field and interact with many different people and learn from everyone, as I believe you can always learn something from everyone you meet.
