Hi, I’m James, a Full-Stack Developer focused on designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.In my current role, I develop and support enterprise applications using Apache Kafka, Redis, Spring Boot, Angular, and PostgreSQL. I prioritize clean architecture, maintainability, and performance across both backend services and user-facing interfaces, with a strong focus on applying modern engineering best practices.I bring a combination of software and hardware problem-solving experience, which allows me to effectively diagnose and resolve complex issues in large and evolving systems. I am particularly experienced in working within legacy environments and identifying practical paths toward modernization.A significant part of my work involves leading efforts to transition a monolithic C99 application into a microservices-based architecture. I contribute to system design, architectural decisions, and implementation strategy, while continuing to support the stability of the existing platform through code reviews, debugging, and production fixes.I am motivated by building systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy for other engineers to understand and extend.
