My professional development began in a call center as a customer service representative learning excellent communication and people skills of which is foundational to relationships and productivity in the workforce. In order to accurately identify and solve problems you must listen attentively to customers and receive instructions from individuals of positions of authority, which prepares you to provide the best customer service as well as solve client’s concerns, issues, and problems. I then went on to become a program director at a major YMCA, developing management and leadership skills by properly overseeing, delegating, and enforcing company protocol. My coordination and organizational skills exploded in this position. My next role as a tour guide supervisor for a historical museum where I administered and trained young professionals to lead large group tours and create an enjoyable experience for our visitors. My ability to inspire others, mentor multiple personality types, and manage myself and teams began to flourish. With the confidence gained at this position, I courageously began my sales career at a large car dealership where I advised and consulted customers in their buying decisions. I outperformed sales quotas especially during slow seasons when I converted hesitant prospects into satisfied customers and improved the company’s sales numbers. I excelled to the point where I gained company recognition and was even featured in the company’s commercial. The combination of these experiences and continual self-development transformed my character to have the confidence to found my own company. My position as the owner of a small business has given me a clear perspective of what the ownership and management of companies expect, the ability to implement effective systems, the focus and attention to detail to use proven strategies that produce results making me a better employee.
