I am a British national whose career has spanned 20+ years across Internal Audit, Treasury and global market banking functions in Canada, Europe, Asia and the Pacific, and the Caribbean with a board range of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line experiences. I am a dynamic and commercially driven executive who has a proven track record for delivering compelling results. My participatory, empowering and engaging leadership style allows him to lead by building relationships with his teams, providing guidance whilst also allowing autonomy, maintaining 2 way communication and building trust. I am known for unlocking people’s potential to deliver competitively advantaged results while offering them opportunities to grow and expand their careers. I also recognize that processes are not the master but the servant and has the ability to develop and sustain equally beneficial lasting relationships with diverse stakeholder groups to make things happen. I welcome new projects and invite challenges and my thirst for knowledge drives me to close my competency gaps. I have demonstrated my success by employing innovative solutions to deliver on complex and difficult projects for the enterprise. My insatiable desire to succeed, strong ownership orientation and resilient attitude, allows me to take ideas from “concept to execution” at a pace unmatched by others with comparable backgrounds. I am decisive and accountable and have the ability to make logical decisions very quickly with very little information. Throughout my career I have undertaken and held senior leadership roles including Chair of ALCO, Liquidity Contingency Team for Asia and Pacific Regions. In the Caribbean I played an active role in the operating committee driving the strategic direction of the business. In Toronto with RBC I took on further Enterprise responsibility to oversee Subsidiary Treasury Management with responsibility for net investment hedging, solo capital and subsidiary funding structures, before taking on larger roles including leading the Global Capital Markets Internal audit function as well as Global Head of Liquidity Risk Oversight at RBC. Most recently I have take on an Executive role at TD to drive strategy and delivery of internal audit for Finance, Treasury, Enterprise Strategy and Model Risk. I am a graduate of the University of Oxford achieving an MSc in Chemistry (First Class). Post university I certified as a Chartered Accountant.
