About James Bell

James Bell holds a Commerce Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University and spent over two decades creating product lines and marketing goods and services from the major head offices of TransLink, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Future Shop, and Summit Tools. James demonstrated his entrepreneurial skill set and passion for customer experience with the startup Solid State Inspections delivering direct-to-consumer services specializing in both commercial and residential inspections. As a leader in both business and the community, James identified a need for improved standards and construction of accessibility features for people with disabilities and started an industry trade group, freeaccess.ca, to work with other stakeholders in developing and implementing standards in BC. James has a unique ability to absorb complex concepts and to simplify them into repeatable business practices. He has regularly been looked to for his entrepreneurial attitude and ability to start new initiatives and projects ranging from new product categories to entirely new shopping solutions and business methodologies. He has been featured on radio, trade magazines, and newspaper articles for his experience on topics ranging from consumer behaviour to building sciences and has even been a college instructor with Ashton College.
