About James Botti

James is a senior financial and investment executive registered as an investment advisor and principal of Garrison Phillips, LLC. He possesses extensive experience in investment screening, fundamental investment research, security selection, M&A analysis, and substantial ERISA/Pension knowledge. His career began as a CPA where he honed his analytical skills relative to financial and investment management. At Garrison Phillips LLC, we work with businesses and other entities in order to review, design, rebid, implement and maintain their retirement plans. Engagements are typically as a non-discretionary advisor sharing co-fiduciary responsibilities with the client while providing advice regarding investments, costs, operations, competitiveness and the other plan service providers. GP also works as a discretionary investment manager for private clients, effectively taking on the investment decision-making process. The focus of the private client relationship revolves around the client and his/her personal investment and financial situation. This begins with discussions and a review of the client's goals, needs, current financial position, investment history, current asset allocation, and risk tolerance to achieve a mutual understanding of how the portfolio should be managed.
