During his career, James Boyda has 10 years of audit experience and 20 years as a CFO/Controller in a variety of industries including energy, manufacturing, transportation, retail and construction segments. He has worked on M&A due diligence, cash management, budgeting, costing, restructuring, financial modeling and system integration. As a Tatum Principal, Boyda worked on a $100 million M&A project and was later given the added responsibility of Corporate Controller. As Controller he reorganized the department and reduced the month end closing from three weeks to six days. While reconciling the books found a $2 million accounting error and restated the prior two years financial statements. As Controller at InStar Services, part of Service Master, a multi-billion corporation, implemented procedures and improved reporting to improve contract profitability by ten percent. Other postions include, Controller at Lorro Inc, a tier one automotive supplier, General Manager at PDS Rail Car Services, CFO/Controller at Palmer Moving and Storage, and Controller at Highland Superstores and Fretter Appliance, electronic retailers. As Audit Manager at American Natural Resources, directed the audit group on a $2 billion construction project of U.S. first commercial scale synthetic fuels plant.
