Senior Manager, Operational Intelligence at Meta (contracted via Mitie)- I am presently leading a global programme to improve how Meta identifies and manages a wide range of security, operational and reputational risks related to geopolitics, politics, security, regulations, supply chains and more, covering both direct risks to Meta and also wider societal "on-platform" risks relating to Meta's family of apps. This is an embedded contract role provided by Mitie, a listed FTSE 250 company which delivers a wide range of world-class security outsourcing security and intelligence services. Prior to this, I led PwC's Geopolitical Risks Analysis team from 2018-2022, providing expert analysis and advice to PwC's global, regional and country leaderships, including security, political, reputational, regulatory and cyber risks, as well as identifying commercial opportunities across 160+ countries for a $50bn annual revenue global business. I have strong professional interest in issues relating to technology, political extremism, social in/stability, the Middle East, and South East Asia. I am especially interested in convergences between geopolitical risk and technological change, and how advances in AI will impact societies and geopolitics, and the risk forecasting industry itself.
