About James Brandon

As a production support professional I understand the complex and fast paced support world in an enterprise environment. I've acquired a diverse skill set and technical know-how. Proven success working for large global organizations. Significant expertise in deployment and support of resilient, mission critical applications. My experience has taught me production support boils down to the following: • Most important is attention to detail. • Being a self starter is key and one who needs little supervision. Production support rarely allows for hand holding. • Excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate to every level is vital. • Owning issues to closure even when issues are being worked by others I.e. DEV and BA teams. • Document, document, document. Process documentation in addition to closing knowledge gaps with proper documentation is a must. • Breadth and depth product knowledge. Support personnel should have a deep understanding of their application and understand upstream and downstream flow. • Adherence to (or understanding of) some form of service management life-cycle (I.e. ITIL).
