Why did I get into flying Drones? When I published my children’s book Soulstrong: Heroes of Trauma in 2020 with the support of Trinity Family Life Center and RISE for Youth, I literally just wanted some nice aerial shots through the neighborhoods of Richmond, VA for the promo video my team and I created to market the book. After crashing two drones… I developed a peaking interest in learning more about flying, the certifications required to go further, and the heights my imagination could take it. I started studying different types of drones and the jobs they could perform throughout various commercial industries like Real Estate Marketing and Construction Site Progress Monitoring. I also began to study the solutions this industry could provide when merged with public health & safety initiatives. I became more intrigued, so once I graduated from YouTube University, I studied hard to earn my FAA Part 107 License and after a few months passed the exam! Having so many mixed educational, yet purposeful experiences over the years has allowed me to adapt a unique perspective on thoughtful community transformation & integration strategies.
