About James Bruce

I am a hands on IT services jack-of-all-trades. From 2012 to 2025, my primary focus has been on on building and maintaining IT infrastructure to support video editing and video distribution for professional broadcast and production. I started in January as an Apple Certified Repair Specialist, and began my journey into IT infrastructure after joining mDimension Technology, learning how to consult for companies integrating Apple products into their business work environments. I enjoy the challenge of problem solving ways to get different technologies to work together in a comprehensively end-user friendly manner, by doing the heavy lifting on the backend, making sure all services and processes are working as intended to achieve the goals of the businesses I work for. My current job has me focused primarily on HD video delivery systems, high-speed networks, large self-hosted storage, large cloud-hosted storage, leading an internal software development team and acting as the Ops in a DevOps model, and migrating my organization to a DevOps model based around the concepts of AGILE and the Rule of Constraints. I have been a Director of 3 cross-discipline departments simultaneously during and after the pandemic, and build my teams based on the principles of shared responsibility and leadership, using Domain Management Theory as well as adapting traditional project management to suit the needs of the organization and most importantly, the people working with me.
