I currently work in Access Services, producing live and pre-recorded subtitles for a range of clients including the BBC, Channel 4 and TNT Sports in the UK, as well as ABC, SBS and Ten in Australia. It's a pressurised environment in which I work to tight deadlines. It requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to ever-changing working practices, technological advances and the demands of clients. I've worked on high-profile events including the Olympics, the King's Coronation and the Pope's funeral. As a freelance journalist based in Spain, I covered all issues of interest to readers in the UK. I have written for a number of publications including The Guardian, Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail and I worked closely with a London-based press agency to supply regular copy to national news desks. I have also contributed to Spanish newspaper El País. I've previously covered tennis tournaments for the International Tennis Federation; providing match reports, audio interviews, videos and social media coverage for the organisation’s official website. I also have experience of writing SEO web content and advertorial for businesses. My previous roles have included working as news editor for an English-language newspaper in Spain, as part of the production team at a publishing company in London and as an editorial assistant at BBC Worldwide.
