About James Calderone

Hello, my name is James Calderone. I recently graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Administration with a minor in Intrapersonal Communications in December 2024. As a student, I have accomplished a lot in the sports industry, most notably this past year, I was the leader in bringing collegiate ice hockey to the University of Houston, which was at the time the largest university in the state of Texas without a hockey team in the city of Houston which is the fourth largest city in the United States and the largest city without a collegiate ice hockey program. I served as the team’s president and captain in its inaugural season. In my brief time at the University of Minnesota Morris, I played men’s golf and was elected as the Student President of the schools student-athlete advisory committee- commonly referred to as “SAAC”. I was also elected to represent the university as well as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference at the NCAA’s leadership forum in Houston, TX in November 2021. I served until my departure from UMM in May 2022. I am currently working as a Course Success Coordinator with Youth on Course in central California who’s mission is to grow the game of golf and help cater it to younger generations across the United States, Canada, and Australia. I am responsible for maintaining the relationships of the near 2,500 courses worldwide and helping find viable solutions through data analysis and statistical inputs.
