About James Cardelli

I have been a pharmacy technician for over 20 years. I have spent my career split between retail pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management. I have experience in drug nomenclature, brand and generic names, medical terminology, utilization management, customer service, Microsoft Office suite, and mentorship. Some of the projects I have worked on have been to create various training guides for my team, creation and management of various spreadsheets for various functions such as data tracking and calculation of things such as medication dosing by body weight, date calculations, calculating various lab results (Creatinine clearance for example), and converting standard measurements to metric (pounds to kilograms for example). My patience and calm demeanor have helped me be a team mentor for newer team members to help them learn various systems, SOPs, and application of templates. Even when not a trainer or mentor in an official capacity I tend to be the person that is the unofficial mentor that people rely on for help because I do my best to help team members learn as opposed to just directing them to job aids.
