As a third-year student studying a Bachelor of Exercise in Sport and Leisure, along with my athletic coaching certification and level 1 first aid, I am enthusiastic about contributing my diverse skill set and experiences to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of individuals. Throughout my journey as a student, a fitness instructor at Virgin Active and Intern Sport Scientist, I have gained valuable insights into the world of exercise, sport, and leisure. I have had the privilege to interact with a diverse clientele and high performance athletes, guiding and assisting them in achieving their fitness goals. My responsibilities include developing tailored exercise programs, providing hands-on coaching, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of workout sessions. As a high school athletics coach for the past 2 years, I have had the privilege of mentoring and inspiring young athletes to unlock their potential, both on and off the field. Tracking their performance progress and organizing their participation in events has instilled in me a strong sense of organization, adaptability, and meticulousness. I am deeply passionate about the scientific aspect of exercise and its impact on human physiology and performance. This passion fuels my aspirations to become an Exercise Scientist, where I can explore cutting-edge research, innovative training methods, and evidence-based approaches to optimize athletic performance and promote overall well-being. Moreover, my experience at the gym, both during my practical hours and my current employment, has exposed me to various facets of the fitness industry, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of gym operations and the ability to thrive in dynamic and demanding environments.
